quilt top one completed!

Yesterday while babysitting I finally finished my practice quilt top that I've been working on since christmas. Its only about 3 by 3 and a half feet and the stitching is messedup in a lot of parts but hey I still like it. I still need to but a back on it and the inside stuffing thing but that's my next project.
Ill be posting a picture of it later this week. Its green teal grey and orange.

Today I also bought 4 charm packs from walmart that are precut! Yes! No more impatience cutting for me! Ill also post pictures of them later too.

Two and a Half Days

That's how many days of school I've had this week.
Actually it's how many days I've had off of school too!
I wouldn't mind it so much if we didn't have to make it up.
Also, if the barn wouldn't've been closed on the snow days I would have enjoyeed the snowdays more.
However, there was kinda nothing to do.

Here's what I did the last 2 and a half days:

Wednesday:
- woke up around 10
- went and bought show boots
- shopped around some more but didn't buy anything
- tried to get McDonalds but they were closed :(
- babysat
- started my 30 day blogging challege
- FOUND STUMBLEUPON (huge improvement in my life)
- went to bed forgetting to eat dinner

Thursday:
- woke up at 11
- made eggs for breakfast
- stumbled on stumbleupon
- caught up on my Shane Dawson videos
- continued my blog challenge
- cut three pieces of fabric into 5x5 squares (I now have 20 squares)
- ordered Pizza Hut but was not impressed
- worked
- worked
- thought about ordering more fabric, but didnt. yet.
- tried to go to bed
- finally fell asleep

Friday morning:
- woke up at 8
- got Marie off to school
- watched part of the Today show and Regis (it makes me feel mature)
- and now I'm blogging

Well, at least I didn't just watch tv all day and did some productive things!

What did you do this week?

iPods and Rice

This week, my new, green iPod nano went on a fun ride through the washing machine.

But let's start at the beginnning of this story.
I went riding Saturday morning, with my iPod in my pocket full of my horse's favorite songs.
Once I got home, I went upsatirs to shower and thought it'd be a good idea to leave my iPod out in the hallway so the water couldn't get to it.
Ironicly, it was picked up with the dirty clothes in the hallway and taken downstairs to be thrown into the washer.
I should've just kept it in my pocket in the bathroom!
It's now resting in a bowl of instant rice in my room.
It has turned on and actually works now!
However, I think the back light is done. So the only way I can see what I'm doing on it is to use it directly under a lamp.
Taylor, my horse, is going to be very upset that he won't be able to trot to his favorite songs anymore.

If anyone would like to donate a green nano ipod to me or Taylor, please let me know.

Ello governer, would you like some fish and chips?

Today I bought new English and Western show boots.
After a painful yet rewarding first English lesson, I decided I need English boots.
So I got these fancy boots:

And while I was there, I found these in the back room and had to buy them too:

They match my chaps :D

I'm mostly happy about my English boots though, they make me feel so legit.
I want to buy some breeches and a jacket to run around in and speak in a British accent.
"Good day good sir, ello govener, let's go eat some fish n chips"

I mean look how legit this guy looks in his fancy English boots:

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE FANCY ENGLISH BOOTS!
yes, i'm aware this man is not wearing boots but that's besides the point.
